For example I decided I wanted to learn how to play guitar. I was walking out of my front door to go buy one. My landlord was walking towards me holding a guitar. He said he found it int he trash, did I want it?
...Yes. Yes i do.
Those first ones are the best. You sit and stare at the thing you that just showed up as if by magic, and yo can;t really believe it, but there it is. Physical, material, tangible.
That happened a lot. The thing I needed would show up in my life as if by magic.
Here's something I can not repeat enough. You have to take action steps. If I had done all the visualizations and affirmations and such but not walked out to go guitar shopping, I would not have run into the guy wanting to give somebody a Guitar. You have to put in an equivalent effort. More on that subject soon.
If nothing else, those LOA books were priceless because they finally got me to define my goals.
I realized I wanted to get paid to play. That to me, is the key to life.
Now, the question was how? The only thing I was really good at was spinning a stick around, and there's no long term in the circus. I had no idea, but I So whenever I would practice spinning, I would repeat "I get paid to play" over and over.
Shortly thereafter, I got a phone call from one Miss Katie Lee (The First).
"Yo! I just saw a want-ad online. A drug rehab for teenagers out in Malibu wants someone to teach fire spinning to their clients. You should check it out."
I did, and got the job. One hour a week.
It wasn't going to land me in the Fortune 500, but it was a start, and I loved hanging out on Zuma beach with the kids.
As luck would have it, the kids enjoyed learning how to download Kung-Flow.We all got along great, we’re all having a blast, and I’m actually getting paid to play on the beach.
Then something interesting happened. They started figuring out how to use the mental techniques on their addictions, much to my surprise. We start figuring out how to write anti addiction programs in order to beat Coke and Heroin problems. Incredibly fun times.
Then I get a phone call from the owner of the Rehab. He said they loved my work, wanted to know if I wanted to become the full time Rec. Therapist. This is a 30,000 dollar a month clinic, and I have no training or certifications. Of any kind.
Whoa....
Apparently, I had learned how to sabotage my self-sabotaging software, as I actually managed to say yes.
(The story is about to take a turn for the better. A lot of really good things are happening and I for one, am stoked. Please allow me to re-iterate that none of this is to glorify myself. I just want to share with you something that is working for me, and I want it to work for you, so that we can help all those kids and families in Somalia, and Iraq, and bring education to the areas that need it most desperately, like the Jersey Shore.)
By the way, the Woman who posted the Ad that got me the job, became one of my best friends. She could not look or act more like an Angel.
