Remember, I'm a football playin' farm kid from outside a town of 8000. Things like that did not happen in the world I grew up in.
Just making it through the day was challenging, as my brain was filled with fog, as I was still trying to rationalize the irrational.
(I highly recommend not even trying to do that, if this sort of thing ever happens to you. It is the equivalent of trying to sync up your I-pad to an Atari. This is where if you're not staying mentally flexible, Cognitive Dissonance kicks in.
The key is to remember that even though it's super weird, none of it is actually hurting you, and some of it is actually helping you. Enjoying the oddity seems to be the key to a graceful transition.
After the spooky/weird warning about the Biker's death, I no longer had any idea what was real. I didn't trust anyone or really, anything. I was moving through life in a daze. So many spooky, seemingly scripted things had happened to me, that I felt like I was living in movie.
Then I heard about another movie, one called "Stranger Than Fiction". Basically, the premise is that Will Ferrel finds out he’s actually a character in a book. Hoping for some insight, I rented the movie and rushed home to watch it. The main character's name is "Harold". I realized that "Herald" is another name for a messenger Angel.
Yes, there is a "Harold" in Every April. WTF?
Then it got funny. Here's a temporary clip I put together. It's rough, and I'll fix it soon, but for right now it will suffice.
Please allow me to drive home a point here. At this point in time, I was really tripped out by how much the names David and Anna saturated my life, and now I’m watching a movie that’s not only a really eerie reflection of my extremely weird life, it’s also using the exact same names that were tripping me out?
Really?
To me, it was just too perfect to be accidental, especially given all the other things that had been happening. I did some research on the people who made the film.
The production company is “Three Strange Angels”,
I thought about trying to contact the Screewriter, as I thought he may have has some advice. The last four digits of his office phone number were 3278,
The Directors birthday is also my Every April co-writer Erin’s birthday, 1/27.
The producer was Gale Anne Hurd. She’s no slouch, she produced “The Terminator” and “Total Recall”. Speaking of the Terminator, here's a couple of shots from the last one. Note the ambulance number.
Here's the new Terminator defeated and revealed.
And it happens on particle accelerator number 27.
Seeing Gale Anne Hurd’s name reminded me that a short film I wrote a long time ago made it into the finals of a contest that she was judging.
Those are pretty huge movies, and Gale does have "Anne" in her name. So I thought it might be a good idea to find my copy of that short film I wrote, as I hadn't watched it in years. I was wondering if any of the codes were in there.
The short, called "Small Change" was about this young couple who discovered that they have found a magic quarter that always told the truth. When you flipped it, Heads was always a "Yes", tails was always "No". After being convinced that it was actually Magic, the guy rushes to place a bet with his bookie.
Here's a clip from that movie. Please keep in mind that I wrote this several years before I even met Anna or started playing the crazy coincidences game.
The pattern not only abides, it now predates my active participation.
Weird...
This made me wonder about the other films in my past.
Remember the first movie where I played the really messed up, emotionally crippled guy who finally realized that he needed to stop screwing around and learn how to actually love and live? What was that character’s name?
David. Whoa. It probably doesn't hit you the way it does me, but really? What are the odds of that all happening?
I was still trying to process it all. Which meant my mind was spinning at peak RPM’s non-stop, trying to figure out how this was possible, but I just couldn’t make any sense of it.
Dakota Fanning is also on the billboard that reads "Knowing".
Which was pretty interesting to me, as the commercials for a Nicolas Cage movie also called "Knowing" had just started playing.
Please keep this connection in mind, because Knowing takes the game to a whole new level by itself, but in conjunction with "The Nines" it's really wild.

I was in the Odyssey Video Store again, sifting through the movies when I chanced upon this one.
It's about a guy who has all these inexplicable coincidences with the number 9 showing up in his life.
Well, I being the diligent hippie I am, had researched my personal numerology. Basically there are systems of calculation that turn your full name and birthday into numbers that might give you insight into your life path, your destiny, etc etc. (If you're at all curious about yours, here's a LINK)
All four of mine add up to 9, and the main guy was RYAN Reynolds, the girl was a Davis, so OK, let's invest the $2.99...
And once again, reality takes an unscheduled left turn. There's way too much to go into here, but it's all so right on the money.
It is once again, a movie about the exact same thing that is happening with me, and it is again, using people with the exact same names. It also uses the same numbers...
I'm not going to go to far into it, because it's so weird that I currently do not how to present it properly.

In this clip Ryan Reynolds is a highly dysfunctional actor. He's already burnt down his house, got busted for crack possession, and is supposed to be under house arrest. But all this weird stuff involving being haunted by the number 9 has freaked him out so much, he had to get out. He takes refuge in a bus stop, a little girl shows up.

As soon as I saw the trailer for “Knowing”, I knew there was going to be something, because it was about a guy who found a piece of paper with a pattern of seemingly "random" numbers that actually accurately predicted every major disaster for the last 50 years. In a time capsule that had been in the ground for the last 50 years... Here's the trailer.
And here's the sequence they used to prove that the "random" pattern was indeed, real and accurate.

Deva, Katie and Charece! Ha! Ha! Ha! By the way, you are filling up my Netflix cue. I've never even heard of these films, but I am going to watch them now.
